Every single one of them.I would fine if they all came over
Don’t need any mods. I’d just as soon this place be a dictatorship ran by the dude paying for it.My mod suggestions:
1. Have a probationary period. Be sure the mod is doing what you want them to do. Good posters aren't necessarily good mods.
2. Have term limits. Maybe 5 years. Mods need to know they aren't going to be God forever.
Mods would just help him do whatever he decides to do.Don’t need any mods. I’d just as soon this place be a dictatorship ran by the dude paying for it.
Only ever encountered 1 mod, EVER, that wasn’t on a power trip. This place doesn’t need ‘em.Mods would just help him do whatever he decides to do.
Notice the OP title...."but they can't be a Mod here"My mod suggestions:
1. Have a probationary period. Be sure the mod is doing what you want them to do. Good posters aren't necessarily good mods.
2. Have term limits. Maybe 5 years. Mods need to know they aren't going to be God forever.
Power trips do happen. That's why you monitor and don't hand them power for eternity.Only ever encountered 1 mod, EVER, that wasn’t on a power trip. This place doesn’t need ‘em.
All it takes is one to totally screw with someone, though. DO. NOT. NEED. THAT. HERE.Power trips do happen. That's why you monitor and don't hand them power for eternity.
I nominate Kevin (he's coming) to be the only mod on the basketball forums. It's worked well for years.I'm figuring that out but I do prefer the idea of term limits and limited moderation. Also, I can limit Mods to specific boards which allows member to have space if they are having a disagreement with a specific Mod.
Some people just aren't cut out for that task, and it also hampers what they feel they can post while being a Mod.
As for the Mods on the old board, I hope they all come over here. Everyone is welcome, and everyone should be treated with respect. Disagreements are one thing, but making things personal won't be good for the community.
As for me, I'm not the dictator type but I won't tolerate anything that harms the community or this site. Just for a bit of background, I have owned a business for 20 years and have 25 employees. I'm not new to managing people and situations. I've never run a message board before, but I can manage people. The rest we can figure out as we go.
Hope that helps!
That is definitely my intention if he wants the gig.I nominate Kevin (he's coming) to be the only mod on the basketball forums. It's worked well for years.
He will definitely not let being a mod change the way he posts.
Pimp with 25 whores?I'm figuring that out but I do prefer the idea of term limits and limited moderation. Also, I can limit Mods to specific boards which allows member to have space if they are having a disagreement with a specific Mod.

HELL. FUCKING. NO.I'd bring the all 3 that are active daily in Melb, ****** and Duckboy. Rules can be a bit more lax here, but they can still step in if needed and carry out orders to be done board wise.
