USC 11 Oregon 0

Ya know, I always felt his play was to get an NFL gig but he has received offers and passed so we will see, I don't see him going to another college team and he will start doing better now that USC has decided to support him and act like a football school again.

Now I know he wouldn't leave USC for Texas Tech but if he were to flame out at USC and get fired, I wonder if Texas Tech would make a run at him considering how much money they are throwing around.

I guess since you don't have to win a championship game to call yourself champions, I'll choose to recognize Oregon as the 2024 champions (as 2 rating systems did)
The AP Trophy which is still the longest recognized NC trophy is a little different then your little blogger trophy.

If we counted ones outside of the truly recognized trophies we would be somewhere around 63 NC's

Homie, you're talking about a poll voted on by people who don't even watch all the games. All the fake poll championships are just PR unless they were won on the field. It's a shame it took so long for College Football to realize that but it's hard to take the old system seriously.

Bro, you can't steal our NC's as well as my homie calls, homie lol

I think he has made some real mature changes, one of the reasons I like him as a coach
I like a lot of the moves he's made. I think bringing in Lynn was a great move. I think bringing in Bowden was also a great move.

I question why they're being so aggressive with NIL for HS recruits while they were relatively quiet in the transfer portal. It seems to me that they are planning on a bit of a rebuild in 2026 (considering how many HS kids they seem to plan on taking), which would be strange for a coach entering his 5th year.

Brotha.............If you are counting loses as accomplishments like you have in this thread, you can bet your happy ass you would count a true NC poll trophy.

To say any different you aren't being honest.

The opinion poll trophies would be nice PR but deep down I would know that's not really a championship. When I played basketball in HS, they didn't vote at the end of the regular season to determine who was the state champion, you had to win it on the court. That's true in every sport. Save Gymnastics, diving, etc.

this class was always going to be big, 35 last I heard. It's been a while since we did well in HS recruits so we definitely need them as well as being very important to put local schools back on notice that we are serious again, I agree with the plan.

I agree that it's the better long term play. I know USC fans don't want to hear this but I kind of look at this year as a Year 1 for Riley at USC. I know it's year 4 but he appears to have hit a reset on the program. As long as USC donors/administration are on board with his plan, I think it could pay dividends for USC later in this decade. Do you think USC donors/admin will be patient if results aren't immediate?
